Keratoacanthoma is a rapidly developing neoplasm
clinically and histologicaly mimics squamous cell carcinoma. It is a low
grade squamous cell carcinoma originating from the neck of hair follicle
— It is not easily differentiated from sq cell. Ca.
Keratoacanthoma may progress to invasive SCC and hence promt treatment if
advocated

Centre with a keratin filled crater surrounded by proliferating epithelial
cells.
Diagnosis: by skin biopsy
Treatment by curettage, or electro cautry.However
excision is diagnositic and therapeutic.Mohs surgery is margin controlled
surgery, allows for good margin control with minimal tissue removal
