- Cholera, Cryptosporidium

- Exogenous stimulant - laxatives
- Chronic ethanol intake.
- Endogenous laxatives (dihydroxy bile acid)
- Idiopathic secretory diarrhoea.
- Bowel resection, fistula.
- Partial bowel obstruction
- Hormone producing tumour.
(Carcinoid, Vipoma, Medullary carcinoma of thyroid, mastocytosis, gastrinoma,
Colorectal villous adenoma)
- Addison’s disease
- Congenital electrolyte absorption defect.
