• Cerebral abscess on macroscopic examination is a discrete
lesions with central liquefactive necrosis surrounded by fibrous capsule.
Abscess is healed by marked gliosis
• Coagulative necrosis is the
characteristic of hypoxic injury of the all the organ except brain where
liquefactive necrosis seen.
