two months back and worsened gradually. There is no history of fever or

The main clue in this question is “loss of sensation below
the umbilicus”. This means that umbilicus is spared which is supplied by
T10 segment. Hence the lesion lies below T10 i.e..T12 in this case. If there
was loss of sensation in umbilicus also then the answer would have been T10.
