•The following agents may have role in prevention of cancers:
- Beta carotenes
-Tocopherol
- Retinol, (isotretinoin)
- Selenium
- Calcium (colon Ca)
- Isoflavones (breast Ca)
- Drugs — Tamoxifen, Raloxifene (breast Ca), NSAID (Ca colon), Finasteride (prostate Ca)
• Vit. D induces bile acid break down in vitro and may have role in protection against colon cancer.
• Calcium appears to bind bile acids in bowel lumen,inhibiting bile acid induced mucosal damage and perhaps carcinogenesis.
•The following agents may have role in prevention of cancers:
